MS Students Compete at Latin Convention
On Friday, April 7, seven Latin students from ESK attended the Tennessee Junior Classical League (TJCL) Latin Convention at Austin Peay University. Students spent the day interacting with other fellow Latin students from across the state and competition in a variety of competitions and contests. The morning session was dedicated to academic testing in areas related to the study of Latin and Classical studies. In the Latin grammar test (1/2 Intro level) ESK students Luke Vesser, Rockne Ullrich, Paolo Spica, and Harper Grace Miller placed 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th (respectively) overall. In addition, Beckham Spiller placed 10th in the Latin Derivates and Latin Vocabulary tests, and Rockne Ullrich placed 12th in the Mythology test.
