Teachers we love: Genna Kuban

Genna Kuban will be a second grade lead teacher during the 2018-2019 school year at ESK.  We are thrilled to welcome her as a new faculty member to the ESK community. Q&A with Genna Kuban – New Faculty Member

What is your favorite summer memory?

Ms. Kuban: My favorite summer memories are going on vacations to the beach in Florida and the mountains of Tennessee. Now I get to live my dream by living in Tennessee!:)

One of my favorite things about ESK is arriving to campus early in the morning when the sun is coming up over the mountains. We have a special view of the Smokies on a clear day that you’ll love Who was your favorite teacher?

Ms. Kuban:  My favorite teacher was my 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Johnson. She truly cared for all of us and had a gentle voice and smile.

 

Ms. Kuban brings education expertise and experience to our school community.

Do you have a favorite book or movie?

Ms. Kuban: I have many favorite books, it’s hard to choose! One of my favorite books to read to a class is “The Chocolate Touch” by Patrick Skene Catling.  

 

What are you most looking forward to about teaching at ESK?

Ms. Kuban: Everyone I have met here at ESK has been welcoming and kind! I’m excited to meet my students and get to know them and their families. I’m also very excited to work in a school with many fun trails outside!
