Saints Shine at Tate’s Regional Science Fair

Several ESK Lower School students earned honors at last week’s Tate’s Regional Science Fair! The awards were presented last Tuesday following judging and interviewing the night before. Numerous area private schools participated, and ESK’s fourth grade and fifth grade did extremely well. Fifth grader Aanika Mohammad highlighted the awards, earning third place overall in the Tate’s Science Fair with her project, “Go Get It, Sparky.” Great job, Aanika! Fourth grader Chase Vermillion earned first place in Earth Sciences while classmate Ella Parker (earth sciences) and fifth graders Paolo Spica (life sciences) earned second place in their categories. Fifth grader Emma Yount (life sciences) and fourth grader Celeste Urdal (physical sciences) were awarded honorable mention.

Isabella Raman: Judge’s Choice for Outstanding Interview
Collin Steadman: George Lucas Award for vision/hearing experiment
Rockne Ullrich: Hill-Myerhof Award for medical experiment
Lily Talmadge: Hill-Myerhof Award for medical experiment
Claire Rainey: Jane Goodall Award for animal experiment
Zoe Bremer: Frank Zofran Award for crystal/space/gravity experiment
Jennica Ullrich: Hot Pocket Award for food experiment
