Letter from the Head of School

Welcome to The Episcopal School of Knoxville!

I am thrilled you have come to explore our website, and I invite you to sample our unique spirit of community that embraces us all in the ESK family as you visit the various aspects of our school program. From our talented and dedicated faculty, to caring and invested parents, our team approach to education establishes a culture in which students can grow and thrive in their academic potential.

Our 96-acre campus offers a tremendous canvas of instructional opportunity and investigation. Our tailored approach to differentiated learning recognizes individual needs, and allows students to quickly build a strong level of academic competence. Classrooms are designed for small group instruction, and are well equipped to prepare the 21st century student. Built to challenge and fulfill all areas of child development, our college-preparatory curriculum enriches the academic experience with offerings in world languages, studio and performing arts, STEAM technology, wellness, and character foundation.

At ESK, learning is also a grand adventure. The working farm, educational gardens, and discovery trails further target important outlets for character development and knowledge application, while our innovation labs hone both creativity and critical thinking skills through design thinking principles. With an eye on the future, we are continuing to grow the ESK program, extended classroom sections, new gardens, playing fields, tennis courts, and outdoor classrooms are soon to follow, keeping ESK alive and in touch with best practices.

We thank you for your interest in our unique and family-centered program, and we invite you to visit us anytime to witness first-hand the spirit of our students in the Episcopal school of today.
